Implementation of 3-D Ray Tracing Propagation Model for Indoor Wireless Communication

Wireless and mobile broadband communication systems are planned to operate at the mm-wave band, due to the spectrum availability and wider bandwidth requirements. It is important to characterize the radio propagation channel to ensure satisfactory performance of a wireless communication system. This paper classifies the propagation models and discusses the importance of indoor propagation modeling and concentrates on the development of MATLAB code for the ray tracing propagation model because of its practical appeal and its applicability to any environment.
